Wildlife Cinematography

I spent almost two years shooting in various location of the South Island of New Zealand for for Asahi Tv Japan. The brief started out simple.. ” shoot everything”. The brief then developed into prioritising more technically dynamic motion control establishers as well as everything else that walked, flew or swam into my line of sight.

Since this opportunity I have decided this is what I would like to do in the future. I love shooting wildlife and generally prefer to be in the out doors.

To help me achieve this goal I have invested significant time and money into building my camera kit to help me perform some of the ridiculous movements that were once a fantasy back when I was shooting the below clips.

It’s a whole new world now. I have a x6 axis camera crane dolly that can perform anything I can imagine all while carrying my Red V Raptor 8k VV. I can scale up or down depending on the required movement and carry my kit into the wilderness or via helicopter. It’s one of a kind and build with the help of my friend who just happens to be an award winning design engineer.
